Bink is a chat assistant built into BridgePoint that answers questions about how to use the platform. Ask where a feature lives, how to complete a task, what a status or pipeline stage means, or which role a task requires, and Bink replies in plain language — without you leaving the page you’re on. Bink is available to every signed-in staff member and lives in the top header, next to the global search bar.
Bink is product help only. It has no access to live client data and cannot look up, change, or report on any specific client, case, or record. It will never ask for or repeat protected health information — don’t paste client names, SSNs, dates of birth, or other client details into the chat.

Opening Bink

1

Click the Ask Bink field

In the header, next to the search bar, click the Ask Bink… field to open the chat.
2

Or use the keyboard shortcut

Press ⌘J (Mac) or Ctrl+J (Windows) from anywhere in the app to open or close Bink. The shortcut is shown on the Ask Bink field.
Bink opens in a centered panel with your saved chat history on the left and the live conversation on the right. On smaller screens the history is tucked behind a toggle in the chat header.

Asking a question

Type your question in the composer at the bottom of the panel and press Enter to send. Use Shift+Enter to add a line break within a message. Bink streams its answer back as it writes. If you’re not sure where to start, the empty chat offers a few starter questions you can click, such as:
  • What happens when a Medicaid case is denied?
  • Who can access the ACA pipeline?
  • How do I check a walk-in client into the queue?
  • What is TCA and who is it for?
While Bink is answering, the send button becomes a Stop button — click it to end the response early. If a reply fails, a Try again option re-runs your last question.

What Bink can help with

  • Using BridgePoint — where features live, how to complete a task, and step-by-step how-tos, answered from the official BridgePoint help documentation.
  • Statuses, programs, and rules — what a case status, DCF outcome, or ACA pipeline stage means.
  • Roles — which role a given task requires. If a task needs a role you may not have, Bink tells you which role is required.
  • Benefit programs in general — plain-language background on Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, TCA, and ACA/Marketplace coverage: what they are, who they generally serve, and how people apply.
Bink does not decide whether a specific person qualifies for a program — official eligibility is determined by DCF or the Health Insurance Marketplace, not by the assistant. Keep questions general.
